For my whole life I have loved drawing. Even when I was just a little kid I would do drawings of people, buildings, and anything that interested me. The aspect of drawing that has always been my favorite has been detail. Spending hours on a single square inch of a drawing until it's perfect can completely captivate me. My goal with any of my drawings is for them to look like they could come off the page, and in the case of portraits I want it to feel like they might start talking to you. One of my favorite things is the feeling of seeing someone's face when they see a drawing that I created of someone that they love. To me, portraits capture more than a picture; They feel more real.
Every piece of artwork that I create I make to last. I always use acid free drawing paper/board, archival art supplies, and if you choose to have your finished piece framed, it will always be in an acid-free mat. You don't have to worry about your drawing falling apart over the years.
